The play is "A theatrical Masterpiece from the first lady of crime", Agatha Christie.

When a stranger runs his car into a ditch in dense fog near the Welsh coastline and makes his way to a nearby house for help, what he finds is a woman, with a gun in her hand, standing over the dead body of her husband. She confesses her guilt but is she lying to protect someone else? If so, who and why?

Yeadon Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society Presents its Spring 2012 Musical... Sweet Charity. 13th - 17th March 2012 at 7.15 p.m. every night.

The adventures of a girl who wanted to be loved... Dance hall hostess Charity continues to have Faith in the... human race despite apparently endless disappointments at its hands, and Hope that she will finally meet the nice young man to romance her away from her sleazy life. Maybe, just maybe, handsome Oscar will be the one to do it. This touching musical features show stopping numbers such as Hey, Big Spender, Rhythm of Life and If My Friends Could See Me Now.

Music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon.

Coleshill Operatic Presents " The Pajama Game"

The dangers of a workplace romance are explored to hysterical effect in this romantic comedy. Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful, as sparks fly between new superintendent Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance commi...ttee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7½-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well.The energetic score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross is brimming with songs and dances, which have become popular and musical theatre standards (among them “Hey There,” “Steam Heat” and “Hernando’s Hideaway”) and features plenty of splashy, fun production numbers.

The Great Gale of Brixham 1866 - Theatre show in two different towns

On the evening of January 10th 1866, a great storm blew up across the South coast, and hit Brixham. Much of her fishing fleet, and many other ships sheltering from the storm in Torbay were destroyed in just a few hours, and legend has it that in the aftermarth, it was possible to walk from Brixham to Paignton upon the wreckage.
In a desparate attempt to guide thier menfolks ships to safety, the fishwives of Brixham lit a fire on the peir, burning thier household effects, to create a guiding light, and in an inspiring display of community spirit, much of the town turned out help those sailors who were shipwrecked and left destitute, far from home.

As a result of the storm, the people of Exeter raised the funds for Brixham to have her first RNLI lifeboat, The City Of Exeter which was delievered to Brixham in October the same year.

The South Devon Players, winners of the 2010 Torbay Together: Creativity In The Community Award, a completely non-profit community theatre group from Brixham with members ranging from beginners to experienced, re-tell the story of this night through the eyes of those on shore, in a one-hour performance which is also being taken further afield to be performed in a heat of the All England Theatre Festival, and which also is the subject of one members postgraduate university thesis. The drama is suitable for the whole family, and is supplimented by a historical exhibition in the foyer of performance venues.
