Audition Notice: Spring Awakening


Book & Lyrics by Steven Sater. Music by Duncan Sheik.

Performance dates: 9-19 May, 2012 at The Bridewell Theatre, London


Dates:
  • The Workshop – 12 January. 7pm onwards.
  • The Audition Process

19, 20 and 21 January: First audition

7-10pm weekdays, 10am-6pm Saturday. Each audition will last for 5-7 minutes

22 January: Group workshop audition

25 and 26 January: Recalls

  • Rehearsals

Full rehearsals will start with a script read through and social on February 11.

Regular rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays starting February 21.

Other rehearsals, including some Sundays, will be called at a later date when we know availability of the cast.


Other keys dates are:

May 6: Full day rehearsal.

May 7: Tech rehearsal

May 8: Dress rehearsal

May 9-19: Show.


Times

Weekdays: 7pm – 10pm.

Saturdays: 10pm – 5pm



Audition, participation and membership fees

Sedos is one of London’s pre-eminent amateur theatre societies, with the aim of producing quality amateur shows to the best artistic quality possible. Please note that performers are not paid. To perform in Spring Awakening you must be a member of Sedos (membership is currently £30 per year) and pay a participation fee of £40. There is a £5 audition fee for non-Sedos members. If you are cast in the show, your audition fee will be deducted from your participation fee.

held at Croftfoot Parish Church, Croftpark Avenue, G44 5NS from 7.30pm on Tuesday 27 March 2012.

The show will run form 2-6 October 2012 at Eastwood Park Theatre on the south side of Glasgow.

Before you audition to join Theatre Guild you must be prepared to give up a LOT of free time! Our main rehearsal night is Tuesday with additional cast rehearsals on Sunday afternoons. Principals are also called on Thursday evenings. With 6 months of rehearsals (excluding July for Summer Holidays) that adds up to a lot of your personal time and a huge commitment. It's all worth it, though!!
