We are a small but very friendly group based at St John's Hall, Palmers Green North London who LOVE putting on shows and having a great time!We perform two plays a year - one in May and one in November - and our plays range from mystery and drama to romance via murder and, of course, comedy. The group was formed on December 12th 1952 and took to the boards (on the stage) at Lacey Hall performing Three One Act Plays. By the following year audience numbers meant a move to larger premises and we have been here in St John's Large Hall ever since. We have been very blessed over the years to have such lovely and talented people who have always helped to make each production so individual. So, if you would like to join our group, it would be wonderful to have you on board! No experience is necessary, just come and join us for some fun.....and coffee and biscuits/cake/chocolate!!!! If you are interested in finding out more about us or would like to come to a meeting to see what we're all about, please contact: stjohnsplayers@hotmail.co.uk

Lane Theatre is owned and managed by Newquay Dramatic Society.   Newquay Amateur Dramatic Society was founded in May 1931 and we have been presenting plays continually since that date. Facilities include a 138 seat auditorium, free parking and disabled access. In 1980 the Society acquired the Lane Village Hall and then began the process of transforming an almost derelict building into the excellent 138 seat facility we enjoy today.   In 1999 we secured a substantial Arts Council (National Lottery) grant which enabled us to carry out major improvements for the comfort of both our audiences and actors. The refurbished building was opened by Phillip Schofield on 3rd September 2000

GLOC is London's leading G&;S Society, and one of the only amateur operatic societies both to rehearse and perform in Central London. As a result, we attract a membership largely of young professionals who work in the centre of town, together with some students attending one of London's universities and colleges.   We perform at least one fully-staged G&;S production, accompanied by a professional orchestra, every season and supplement this with other staged and semi-staged concert performances, together with other opportunities to improve our members' singing skills and repertoire knowledge. We are a very sociable society, and organise events and parties for our members, find occasional busking opportunities, and invariably find time for a catch-up with each other in the pub after rehearsals. We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming to new members.   In 2013 GLOC made their debut performance at the International G&;S Festival in Buxton with Patience, and performed again in Harrogate in 2014 with The Mikado.   Rehearsals are well underway for our Winter show - the classic panto, Jack and the Beanstalk. Our very own Liam Geoghegan has rewritten the classic tale for a modern audience. The show is taking place on 5th December at St Saviour's Church Hall, 7.30pm! BUY TICKETS now from our website or email reservations to tickets@gloc.org.   We're currently accepting applications for the director's role of our next summer show - Ruddigore; Or, The Witch's Curse. To find out more, visit our website - or email Laura on admin@gloc.org
