RC Sherriff's seminal World War 1 play Journey's End is being brought to the iconic Kruitmagazijn (ammunition store) in Ypres, Belgium this October and November. A survivor of Passchendaele, RC Sherriff penned this masterpiece after the war and 100 years since he fought there, Mesh Theatre are bringing it back to the region. Set in a dugout over four days leading to a horrific attack, it charts the physical and mental ordeals experienced by a company of British officers as new recruit, Lieutenant Raleigh, discovers Captain Stanhope, his childhood friend and hero, has changed almost beyond recognition.

The shows bring truth and life to classic war dramas in evocative buildings close to the site where so many lives were lost. Their début production in Ypres, Belgium October 10th - November 12th 2017 is set in an immersive bunker at the historic Kruitmagazijn, taking the viewer back 100 years to the trenches of World War 1.
