The Office Party by John Godber

“Thanks for your time folks. Oh and by the way, the office party this year will be limited to one bottle of red and fifty straws...” The office can be a minefield of social and sexual politics, and the advertising group of Chapman and Howard is no exception in John Godber’s hilarious look at the office Christmas Party. The bash starts off innocently enough after another hectic day at the office --- but as the drinks begin to flow and the good times roll, the party soon threatens to get out of hand when underlying tensions rise to the surface. As the evening reaches its climax and the party lurches from one disaster to another, the façade of the advertising business is stripped away, together with that of the staff’s private lives……. Auditions For The Odd Couple

The Spread Eagle Players, in Central London, are proud to announce that its next production for the week beginning 20th January will be Neil Simon's, The Odd Couple. This is the play that the film and the TV series were based around. We are lucky that we are being able to do such a well know show in a London venue, as the rights are usually restricted and we are in the fortunate position to be able to choose which version of the show we will be doing. There are two versions based around the same premise, the original show where the cast is predominantly male, with two women and The Female Odd Couple where roles are reversed. The version that we choose will be dependent on the auditions, so people can audition for a role in either version. If you would like to audition, please contact info@spreadeagleplayers.org.uk to add your name to the list for auditions at Barclays Bank, 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf.
