Well did you evah? What a swell party this this! AmEgos Theatre welcomes you to the lavish world of an Oyster Bay wedding: stunning socialite Tracy Lord is set to marry for a second time, but the sparkles of champagne can't gloss over the disruption as the bride's ex husband, C.K. Dexter Haven turns up to win her back. Then, to add to the chaos, tabloid hack Mike Connor also starts to fall for Tracy's charms. This shimmering story of heartache and the high life is based on the 1939 play, The Philadelphia Story, with music and lyrics by legendary composer Cole Porter. Tipsy duets such as 'Well, Did you evah' and 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?' are mingled with the more poignant 'I love you, Samantha' and 'True Love', while ensemble numbers 'Let's Misbehave' and 'High Society' bring bursts of exuberance and energy. Performances from Wednesday 20th - Saturday 23rd April 2016, doors 6.45pm curtain 7.30pm Tickets www.wegottickets.com/AmEgos info: www.amegostheatre.com
  5. Noises Off

    until
AmEgos presents Michael Frayn's award winning comedy - Noises Off Lloyd Fellowes is the director of a theatre company. He's desperately trying to produce the farce 'Nothing On', but with a z-list cast, an exhausted crew, things are not going to plan. We follow the production from final rehearsals, through opening night, and onto the regional tour: as with any group of actors forced to work closely together for any great length of time, romances and arguments are bound to break out. Quite often, what's happening on stage is nothing compared to what's happening backstage.. 2nd - 5th December King Alfred's Academy Theatre Portway WANTAGE Oxon OX12 9BY Tickets from www.wegottickets.com/AmEgos
